Biography
Amélie Halbach is an architect (ULiège, 2019).
She graduated in 2019 and continued her training with a two-year internship at Baumans-Deffet Architecture et Urbanisme. Then, she worked part-time as an architect at Lorigami Architecture. At the beginning of the academic year 2021, she joined the LNA as a part-time research assistant and collaborates with Aurélie de Boissieu. In September 2022, she obtained a position as PhD Candidate / Assistant.
Amélie Halbach started her research career with the elaboration of her Master's thesis, entitled "The "as-built" BIM as a decision-making tool between demolition or deconstruction" (2019). Crossing her dual interest in environmental and digital issues, this work studies European architectural practices combining the circular economy and BIM (Building Information Modeling). Since then, she has continued to deepen this research topic, in particular through publications and participations in international scientific events.
